Mission & Vision

Our mission is to help children in need reach their potential through professionally supported one-to-one Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring relationships that will improve the lives of these children forever.

Our vision is to put a Big Brother Big Sister into the life and hope into the future of every child in need of a mentor.

Purpose of Big Brothers Big Sisters

The quality of our future depends upon the encouragement and support our young people receive today. We assist youth in achieving their highest potential as they grow to become confident, competent, and caring individuals, by providing committed volunteers, national leadership, and standards of excellence. Therefore, it is the goal of our agency to provide youth the opportunity to reach their fullest potential through enhancing self-esteem, developing decision-making skills, and establishing rewarding friendships with positive adult role models.

Our purpose is to provide a child in need with a positive adult role model who can assist the child in developing his/her character. The volunteer spends a consistent amount of time with the child each month, building a relationship, which will help the child become a caring, confident and competent individual.

Our program staff assists the "Matches" in nurturing the most meaningful relationship possible between the volunteer and the child. The professionally trained staff provide supervision and guidance in a supportive manner, as the volunteer seeks to develop the relationship with the Little Brother or Little Sister.
